Our Story

So we returned with an improved offering in 2016 and every year since (where possible), securing a place in both the local social calendar and that of the Scottish craft beer community.

Now, nine years and a global pandemic on, 2024 will be our eighth event.

We have grown and refined what we do over the years and are now one of Scotland's biggest and most respected one-day beer festivals, culminating in us being crowned ‘Best Food and Drink Event in Scotland’ in 2019 - something we are immensely proud of and keen to re-establish.

But whilst we have undoubtedly grown in size and reputation, the event has always been run by just Fraser and Laura and our ethos remains the same.

We want to continue improving what it is we do, to continue changing, adapting, and taking risks to ensure we are offering more and more value for our loyal supporters – but we retain our desire to celebrate the best of Scottish food and drink, and support local.

Keeping things as local as possible is vitally important to us.

We believe in supporting and showcasing local efforts, using local businesses and services where possible, and giving back to our local community; supporting groups, initiatives, and individuals where we can.

We believe in being accessible and attainable, and believe we provide a well-priced community event that specialises in craft beer and Scottish street food. A relaxed, family-friendly event, children are catered for with specific entertainment and food and drink offerings just for them.

We even welcome well-behaved doggies with open arms and a treat!

For us, the event is the perfect way to bring our community together – the community we live and work in – and celebrate the best our country has to offer, with some good beers, good food, good music and very good times.

You don't need to know your hoppy IPAs from your saisons, or your Pilsners from you stouts – you just need a desire and open mind to try what's on offer and have a great time with family and friends!
